My dear viewers and subscribers, I want to confess this channel was created for the purpose to Help ALF the Fox. I didn’t have enough money to pay for his surgery.
Thank God, we finally did it! I hope he’ll become a happy and healthy fox.
And today I’ll share with you how it was.
It’s a part when I speak Russian from 0:15 to 4:16.
Alfie, say “hello” to everyone and “I’m OK”.
I want to say in advance that we’re filming this video when Alfie’s health is good and I can tell how it was.
Alf the Fox has a condition called an angular valgus forelimb deformity. It develops due to unequal growth between the two bones in the lower forelimb (radius/ulna).
[You can see it on the pictures.] This is not a rare orthopedic condition but the treatment of angular limb deformities often requires surgery. The vet that we’ve chosen has extensive experience in matters of such legs. Moreover, a dog with such leg waited for the surgery after Alfie that day.
As you all know, it has taken a long time to prepare ourselves but it’s been a very difficult day. The surgery was taking an hour and a half. The doctor had to increase Alfie’s anesthesia. She said it was due to foxes have an increased metabolism. During the next 3 hours, we were waiting in the hallway. I was crying because they wouldn’t let me see Alfie.
He regained consciousness only 24 hours after. We were able to take him home 36 hours after the operation. He ate some food in a car and he was trying to lick my nose during our trip.
I’m grateful to our doctor who knows Alf the Fox from his puppyhood. He’s helping to rehab Alfie after the surgery because Alf was refusing to eat. He had some kind of virus on his mucous membranes with canker sores on the tongue. Now Alfie has a healthy appetite. Also, he had swollen legs but now he’s OK and trying to walk.
But if it was easy, I wouldn’t have asked you for help. It’s been 12 days after the surgery. We start the morning with a visit to the vet.
I’m so grateful to all of you for your kind words and wishes. This is a big thank you to everyone for your Love and Support.
I will publish all the news about the life of Vasilisa the Fox and the health of Alfred the Fox in the playlist called FOXY NEWS. I want to thank you in advance for your understanding. I cannot devote much time to everyone. I need to be near Alfie.
Here’s Alfie and he’s OK. He’s just sleeping, that’s all. Alfie, please, hold your head up and send your regards to your viewers.
Next, you’ll see the videos that I was able to film in the car and the vet clinic.
